Why We Help

Having trained in many contexts, from structured teams to loosely affiliated clubs to complete isolation, we know the importance of having a plan. We also know that most services available to distance runners offer canned, sterile training plans that have little if any relevance to a runner's individual needs. We believe that we can do better.

How We Help

As competitive runners for a combined 40+ years, Andi and Zach offer a breadth of experiences and training knowledge for distance runners of every pursuit. In addition to having lived the value and importance of outside support for our own training efforts, we have supported many others on their own journeys toward successful realization of their goals.

We relentlessly study distance running and the most effective training practices and recommend only scientifically and anecdotally proven strategies. And most importantly, we work personally with YOU to craft strategies and plans to meet your individual needs.

Consultation Options

Single Consultation

For those simply looking for a second opinion, whether about a particular workout or routine or about a training plan on the whole and anything between, we offer a single, 30-minute conversation during which we answer any questions, offer any feedback, and provide any suggestions you desire.

The Single Consultation is a great option for anyone who already works with a plan or program and wants specific input an a dynamic. We do not usurp your existing coaching or training situation but rather offer another opinion on whatever elements you feel another opinion my be warranted.

Basic Training Plan Package

For those interested in a start-to-finish training plan customized to your personal goals and needs, the Basic Training Plan Package offers exactly that. We create training plans for runners of all levels and experiences, whether a first-5ker or an Olympic Trials Marathoner. Plans can be up to 24 weeks in total duration to maximize a complete training cycle or any amount shorter for those already in the midst of a cycle.

This package includes an initial interview to establish goals and needs; a training plan packet with resources for daily training, strength and mobility, overall training focus areas; and a launch consultation to discuss the plan, address any questions or concerns, and make any necessary modifications.

Complete Training Plan Package

For those interested in a start-to-finish training plan customized to your personal goals and needs AND options for ongoing consultations to discuss the training and your progress, the Complete Training Plan Package offers exactly that. Plans can be up to 24 weeks in total duration to maximize a complete training cycle or any amount shorter for those already in the midst of a cycle, and consultation opportunities can be as often as needed via whatever medium you most prefer (in our experience, a phone call is most effective, but email/text is also an option).

This package includes an initial interview to establish goals and needs; a training plan packet with resources for daily training, strength and mobility, overall training focus areas; a launch consultation to discuss the plan, address any questions or concerns, and make any necessary modifications; and ongoing training consultations to check in on progress, clarify training elements, and modify the plan as needed.

In addition to the services noted above, the Complete Training Plan Package also includes a gift of an athletic AtoZrunning tshirt and racing singlet (size and gender options available).
