- 2x World Champion Sprint and Olympic distance Triathlon
- 11x National Champion in multisport events (i.e., triathlon, duathlon, and aquathlon)

First of all some of our AtoZrunners had some major successes recently that we want to highlight. Laura and Pete got big half marathon PRs and Nikki hit another BQ and PR in the marathon.

FUN FACT: The London marathon is the largest annual fundraising event in the world. Raising about 900 million.
- Men’s
- Sisay Lemma won in a time of 02:04:01
- First world major win for Sisay although he has been competing since he was 17 (now 31).
- Vincent Kipkumba was runner up this year and last year
- Sisay Lemma won in a time of 02:04:01
- Women’s
- Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya was the winner in a time of 2:17:43
- left off the Kenyan Olympic team
- Shalane Flanagan ran her second in her series of world majors in 2:35:04
- 5 Women Break 2:19
- Of those women was Olympic silver medalist Brigid Kosgei in 4th.
- Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya was the winner in a time of 2:17:43

WHAT: Giants Geneva 10k
- Women’s Race
- Olympic 10,000m silver medallist Kalkidan (Jezeh-heg-nay) Gezahegne in 29:38*, breaking the world record by five seconds!
- Previous record holder was Joyciline Jepkosgei’s whom we mentioned as the winner of the London marathon this year.
- Men’ Race
- world half marathon record-holder Kibiwott Kandie too the victory in 26:51, finishing six seconds ahead of Kipkoech. Kibiwott held on for third in 27:13.
- In fourth, Pietro Riva set an Italian record of 28:06.
Looking ahead to the Chicago Marathon and Boston Marathons coming up and wishing many of our athletes and many of you good luck!
Sara Hall has declared her intent to attempt to break Deena Kastor’s 15 year old AR of 2:19:36. Hall’s PR is 2:20:32. She will need to run an average faster than 5:20 per mile.
