What helps a person become happy, healthy, and hungry for more? Allie Kieffer shares with A to Z Running how she returned to a good place after injury. Allie gives practical insight into her healthy return physically as well as how she has kept her drive and passion.
Allie Kieffer wrote after the 25k US Championships that she was “happy, healthy, and hungry for more.” Isn’t that what we all strive for? Naturally I reached out to Allie for more on the topic. Allie gives practical tips for her healthy return physically as well as how she has kept her drive and passion.
Allie Kieffer is a runner, coach, and nutritionist. After collegiate running at Wake Forest and Arizona State, Kieffer had an early launch into high level running in placing 10th at the USA Cross Country Championships and earning a spot on the Team USA Cross Country team for the NACAC Championship. The team won.
Throughout the years Kieffer has had many high level finishes at US Championship and international events.
Notably, Kieffer was 5th in 2:29:39 at the 2017 New York City Marathon and 7th at the 2018 New York City Marathon with a time of 2:28:12.
Allie was injured in 2019 and has found herself back at it as driven as ever.
