- She opened her season last weekend at Hayward Field with a double 2:01.14 in the 800 and 4:05.79 in the 1,500 for the win in both events.
- Sifan Hassan ran the 5k with 3 other women
- Solo time trial in 14:55
- Made it look like a comfortable strong run
- Sinclaire Johnson ran her second fastest time ever of 4:00.77.
#3. Western States 100

- Western States 100 is the worlds’ oldest 100-mile race.
- 18,000 feet of elevation gain and 22,000 feet of loss.
- Courtney Dauwalter smashes Western States ultramarathon record by 78 minutes

- The record was a decade old record. Ellie Greenwood, 16:47:19 – 2012
- Dauwalter beat second place by 1 hour and 14 minutes.
- Katie Schide came second. Schide also broke the previous record.
- Eszter Csillag, was the third, in 17:09:20—a time that would have won the women’s title at every other Western States 100 except 2012.
Bonus: BAA 10k
- Helen Obiri meant business gapping the field just after a mile but conditions were hot and she slowed.
- Stacy Ndwin made up most of the gap coming in second, just 4 seconds behind Obiri.
- Emily Sisson was first American in 4th.
- Gabriel Geay won on the men’s side winning by 11 seconds.
- Diego Estrada was the first American.
- Estrada is a two-time US champ- 2014 5k, 2015 Half Marathon

- Event has become something of a must-watch, as on both men’s and women’s sides, races tend to be some of the fastest and most competitive 10,000m of the year (in the world!)
- Men’s race:
- As exciting as ever
- Olympic champ Selemon Barega set himself up for a perfect opportunity, on the shoulder of diamond league 5,000m champ Berihu Aregawi w/ 100m to go
- Aregawi held off for the win 26:50 to 26:51
- 17-year-old Yismaw Dilu finished 3rd in 27:08–#2 U18 in the world
- Women’s race:
- World 5,000m champ Gudaf Tsegay dominated in the 4th fastest ever run: 29:29
- Next two were both under 30:00: Ejgayehu Taye (who has also run 14:13 in the 5,000) and Lemlem Hailu
- 29:57 and 29:59 respectively
